There's Nothing In My Way But Me {Poem}

There's nothing in my way, but me. My excuses, fear, and blame, you see.

There's nothing in my way, it's true--

Not time, not mumming, not even you.

Sure, I can choose to blame these things,

But suffering is all it brings.

When I can take true ownership,

My life becomes a partnership

Of working with my mirrored reflection

To see where I need introspection.

The only things that are in my way,

I put there to keep fear at bay. So, it's time to rise above, you see.

'Cause nothing's in my way but me.
